We need access to the water source (the well head or spring) which should be outside. Please make sure it is accessible: if its in a shed, please make sure its not locked; make sure its not overgrown; etc.
We also need access to the pressure system (note: a spring system may not have one). This is most often located in the crawlspace, garage, lowest level of the house (sometimes in a closet like a hot water heater). It can also be outside, in which case its usually at the well head but not always. Please make sure it is accessible: if its in a shed or crawlspace, please make sure its not locked; if its in the garage, please make sure we have access to the garage (leave a key or leave garage unlocked); if its in lowest level or house, make sure there is no furniture or boxes in front of it; etc.
If the house is listed with an agent, we’ll arrange access with the list agent and no one needs to be there.
If the house is not listed with an agent, please make sure we have access to the pressure system. If we need in the house, if there is a lockbox, door code, hidden key, etc to provide access no would need to be there.
If it is a shared system, please let us know upfront and we can work out access with the necessary people.
